My big herbivore girl is snowed in 😭🥹 don’t worry she has a hut to shelter in but she wanted to cuddle for a little while 🥰

It’s snowing quite badly in Switzerland for the rest of the week 🧊❄️🌨️☃️

The cats had their annual vet check/vaccine and they are both fine 🤩 what a relief!

Last year, we had to extract a lot of teeth due to plaque and gingivitis which is apparently common for this breed of cat

Neural crest cell development is sooo fascinating. It’s interesting that there are now proto-domesticated raccoons. We can observe self domestication of these animals in real time 🤓

Help! I want to find good peer-reviewed reviews on the genetic mechanisms of locomotion in mammals but I find either paywalls or AI summaries 🤢

Does anyone have recommendations for me? I will read all your contributions I promise! Thanks! #academia #locomotion #genetics #science #blueskyscience

Apparently your neck and shoulder muscles can tense so hard they trap your nerves, leading to intense pain through the test of your arm 😫

Trying to find a comfortable position to read or Watch tv 😭

Isn’t that the plot of the grapes of wrath? We are apparently not learning anything 🙄
In 2019, 45 changed how Chapter 12 bankruptcy (farm version) to dramatically allow more the wealthy to take advantage of the special soft landing provisions - encouraging investors to use farming as a financial instrument: the raise in farm bankruptcy is not about farms, but about overall bankruptcy
Got the Sunday video up early this time!

If you've been seeing news about "oh no there's a spike in farm bankruptcy"- it is NOT as simple as "farms go out of business & then investors buy them all."

The dinos did an auditory deep dive into the men and women who discovered the first dinosaurs 🦕 🦖

I enjoyed it but I am more interested in the biology of it all and less in the scientists themselves. Still a good book!

I absolutely love her books and they’re probably a reason I went to study equine science in the UK. She will be missed but Rupert and Taggie will live forever ❤️
Knickers at half mast today everyone, for Jilly Cooper x

Just got my boostrix polio shot because my immune system sucks and we’re trying to boost it any way we can. I am so grateful vaccines exists!
Also got my flu shot scheduled. Only problem is the covid shot, I cannot easily get it in Switzerland without prescription from a doctor 🙄

Loved this book from Michael J. Benton on all life on earth since life started. It had a few dinos 🦖🦕 but specifically my favourites, dodos 🦤

I think I need to start a new thread or rather a new book shelve on the big extinctions related books 🥹

Starting my journey into understanding why I am never really healthy. I have now been sick for four weeks straight but always different stuff. I believe my immune system sucks, but I have to understand how it works first 😬

Sometimes I see a graph from a peer reviewed paper and I’m really tempted to read it… I mean, a mouse with a hat? 😍
