I just learned that Michael Jackson allegedly would get up and set down tracks whenever the thought came to him because he was afraid if he didn't do it asap the muse/God/etc would give it to Prince instead and if this concept is true I have some work to do.

I will never stop saying this:
People began doing this as a response to Black women going viral on twitter.
Ppl weren't used to BW being considered intelligent or interesting so once they saw BW getting attention for their thoughts, they would attempt to make it seem like those BW were unintelligent

My least favorite thing that social media has done is make people over explain to avoid bad faith arguments and misinterpretation. To be clear, we SHOULD be mindful of how we word things. But saying one thing is your favorite doesn't mean you hate the other thing.
