Māori, Pākehā, pāpā. Currently 'in between'. A recently former journalist, producer, looking for new mahi 😉.
Into sports, kapa haka, politics mainly.
Opinions are my own, radiradirah the usual caveats apply.
If, by chance, Duncan Webb's bill to repeal the RSB was to be drawn from the tin, election year will become spicy.... imagine, National and NZ1ST voting against repealing it because of a coalition agreement, only to campaign months later on repealling it.

Te Pāti Māori are talking a good game on "kōtahitanga" and being the political force for Māori, but anecdotal evidence will suggest the leaders actively destroyed any chance of total support.

Ōpunakē Fish and Chip shop menu is owha te teina (off the chain) 😂😂😂😂.

Bi-lingual menu, ka mau te wehi!

Are we at a point where holding public offices, (Politicians and their staff, Police, Judges, Military etc. etc.) should be considered an aggravating factor if convicted of crimes?

Can we trust him though? He not long ago claimed only one fire truck had broken down, then had to walk it back. His Charter school Agency signed a contract with a non-existent organisation. 🤷🏽

The conspiracy also relies on Dems putting loyalty to the Party first to protect their heroes, therefore assuring the files stayed secret. They failed to consider the chance that Dems (younger, women and POC) hated creepy sicko PDFiles regardless of party affiliation.
Republicans spent 10 years radicalizing their own base over QAnon. They promised to release the Epstein Files, which they said would be the proof and expose the conspiracy.

What they failed to realize was Trump is at the center of it and the base wouldn't forget.

Further questions for Police to be pressured with:
How many people from lower socio-economic areas have been affected by Police manipulating evidence?
How many more from higher socio-economic/ruling class areas have been protected by Police manipulating evidence?

My take on the use of the 'waka jumping' law is it would be hard for TPM to argue distortion considering they are both Electorate MPs and TPM already have more MPs than party vote allocation. IMO they can't argue those two seats 'belong to them'.

Self-implosion! I notice Hauraki-Waikato abstained - only 4 of 7 electorates voted to expel - is Hana-Rawhiti next on the chopping block?
November 9, 2025 at 9:15 PM
Hypocritical of me to say this considering I just bought fireworks for the first time in 20 years to entertain Mr 3, but I agree with Winnie - ban the bloody things. I paid $45 for my piddly little box, but a family at the same time bought the biggest box $850. In South Auckland!

"How to lose your 'mandate' in 18 months" - the Māori Party saga.

This whole stupidity is letting the governments actions fly under the radar and ruins their own position. When MKK and TF do leave and split the votes, Labour comes through the middle takes them both, maybe even a 3rd seat.

No attempt to make a tackle, standing upright in the collision causing direct impact to the head and it somehow took 4-5 business days for 5 referees to reach a decision... ffs! #IrelandAllBlacks

Not a similar comparison, but a while ago a kid at son's kohanga needed Dr's cert to come back from a cough. Took 4 weeks to get an appointment, she was no longer sick, Dr couldn't diagnose her, the whānau had to juggle work and keeping her home for a month - my son missed her, he thought she left 🥲
Also, if you’re wondering just how fucked health is right now (how could you be at this point?!) my mum was told her referral for a specialist will, on current estimates, take a year to be booked in.

But that that was lucky cause anyone referred after early October simply doesn’t make the list.

"Luxon could meet Trump this week" goodness me, what are the odds we will become the glorious 51st state in exchange for Luxon having a timeshare of one of the Mango Mussolini's Miami Mansions...

My in-laws stayed with us last week. They're big coffee drinkers (instant mainly at home), I've just discovered they finished off my Jed's coffee and refilled the jar with a $2 off-brand instant brown water type of thing 🤔🤔🤔 oh well, luckily their moko are cute I suppose. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

New Plymouth, you either need more staff at your drive-through restaurants, or you need more. Every single one is packed to stupidity, and moving slow as fuck! Been 5 minutes since we ordered, still haven't paid let alone got our food. And now MR 3 is busting to go toilet!

Nice to see union members across industries coincidentally choosing the same day to strike 🤩 get it done brothers and sisters! 👊✊️👊✊️

If the rumours are true, TPM might just find out all over again what happens when you piss off your Tai Tokerau MP - they obviously haven't learned after Hone walked out on them. I don't know if a Mana Party 2.0 is on the cards, but those seats could swing back to Labour if they fix this raru

Upside of summer approaching: daylight savings, weather is dry enough to hang clothes outside and get the kid out of the house.

Downside of summer approaching: Auckland gets stupidly humid... the slightest muscle movement leads to excessive sweating 🤣🤣🤣

Going to be funny if all this results in is the Electoral Commission confirming a one-term government in NZ-record time. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Is this not a discriminatory practice? I bet few who support this policy have a post-graduate level of English

Migrant bus drivers need to attain post-graduate level English for residency
Immigration New Zealand counters claim the language threshold is too high for the industry the drivers are working in.

It rained for the three days boys Kōhanga was closed this week, first day back and the sun has decided to show up... typical! And I didn't do any washing because the power bill is already too high from a winter of non-stop dryer use 🤦🤦🤦🤦

Why do I get the feeling Winston is warming up for a Snap election? He seems to be regularly voicing strong dissent to recent coalition announcements
