Yep, I was asked if I would license art to a project that was meanwhile using generated images as placeholders. Hell no! I don't trust anything about a project that uses genAI at any stage.

And that sucks because my personal favorites are the big ones that I really put a ton of effort into!

There's also an annoying compounding effect of social media here. All of my very polished professional 30-40 hours or more pieces tend to have fewer likes/reposts/etc than my ~2-5 hour quicker pieces done just for fun in my spare time. It motivates me more to do smaller things and spend less time.
