It is interesting how neat splits into 2 distinct diverse clades seem to be rare, best example I can think of is Caniformia vs Feliformia. Implications of this long hinted at result are exciting, my random uninformed guess is that Vetulicolians are paraphyletic to a Chordates+Protostomes clade.

Very cool results! Maybe a stupid question, but could these guys move around like starfish or were they just kind of sat around flicking food particles into their massive gobs?
