But what if we de-extinction this vegetarian artist guy? I heard Elon is a big fan 🤔

ohhh the goofy smile shark tale meme. I am Old™️

Just have the football coach delegate it to the “boosters”

Oh, I’m afraid I can’t “like” this one. I do love the “unsubscribe” button and filtering rules. Almost as much as I hate Outlook’s utterly useless automatic prioritization (compared to Gmail +/- SaneBox).

Feel better 😉

Hmm, I defer to your expertise on this matter!

Don’t read Reddit in your professional sphere, it’s not healthy and it just gets sold to AI hucksters

Because the “versus” is absurd — it’s an interaction effect for most phenotypes.

Many smarter people than you or I have lived and died an anonymity (and this is true no matter how smart you or I might be). It’s best to recognize that many before us had realizations that might strike us as novel 😁

Hmmm, who does this sound like? 🤔

It’s all a rigged witch hunt

These popped up in various trailerparky bits of Michibama last year and the cognitive dissonance was mind blowing. The criminal is for safety and the career prosecutor is for crime, eh

Not if you chase them with castor oil and vitamin A! 🧠

Depends on how long your reads are and how much you trust HMM models of TE families in your organism

My only regret is that I cannot like this enough. Came up Monday as it happens (in a slightly different context). 😍🤗

Don’t worry, we can solve it with AI! All will be well!

The extrajudicial killings in the Caribbean and the looting of the Treasury are also somewhat concerning

Summary statistics are only useful if they are sufficient (or a reasonable facsimile of a sufficient statistic). This is one major issue with how statistics is taught differently for practitioners vs civilians

Let’s not overlook Stanford’s contributions to this timeline! All of the Bay Area techbroligarchy academies lent an unwashed hand

Or of the aggregate trajectory (current favorite Bad Linear Fit attached)

Yep, we’re on the same page here.

Last time I gave a talk in a pathology department, I asked the clinical fellows how they felt about AI models. They liked how it automated some of the schlep work and allowed them to spend more time on actually interesting cases.

That said, histology slides don’t usually inject prompts

Yeah, I’m not thrilled about trusting AI without human review for medicine, either. But at least that makes money for… someone. What’s the benefit to AI screening without human review for publications?
November 11, 2025 at 7:44 PM
I’m not opposed to this but IMHO this would imply a level of post-“publication” review by affiliates and others that could be… disruptive. ML/AI tools make mistakes; if they can be reversed it’s no big deal, but if not there’s going to be a flood of prompt engineered crap every so often.

How much did you get? I remember the first winter I was in Burlington, the snow started sticking by Halloween, and really sticking by Thanksgiving — if you parked your car on the street, the trucks would bury it under a carapace of ice until April.

Got a couple inches here in Michigan yesterday.

Prefiltered maybe; completely replaced by “AI,” probably not without harms
November 11, 2025 at 3:42 PM
Yes
