Even though the shop has already been buzzing for a little while, today’s ceremony made it feel truly official. We had the gold scissors, the ribbon, amazing live music and a crowd that filled the space with energy from the moment the doors opened.

From the silent auction to the craft tables, the bake sale, the tourtieres, the jewelry table, and the raffle table, every corner had something special. The free tea room was a perfect touch and gave everyone a chance to slow down and enjoy the morning.

He highlighted one of the new safety measures the Ontario government now requires municipalities to implement in place of speed cameras.

Today is World Diabetes Day.

This day means a lot to me. It is a reminder that diabetes does not follow a pattern. It can affect anyone, in ways that are not always visible or predictable. Having faced my own health challenges, I have learned that it is not about control.
