I hate to rag on people for having boring panels, because what the hell do I know about their situation, but when you made a living from drawing a daily strip for 30 years plus and are still are dull as dishwater I feel that you are okay to give them shit.

I don't really think that historical events teach things without kind of a lot of effort and ongoing work?
history is what we make of it, whether it's yesterday or 40 years back. there's no natural or inevitable trajectory of memory.
