I’ve written to Keir Starmer, Kemi Badenoch and Nigel Farage urging them to condemn Donald Trump’s attack on the BBC.

The BBC belongs to Britain, not Trump. We must defend it together.

X is a cesspit led by an unhinged billionaire who is desperately trying to stir up civil war in Britain.

Nobody with any sense or decency should be there.

No organisations, government departments, or politicians should be there.

Everyone who is, is enabling this monster.

So many great individual performances, but Rice is the stand out for me. He sensed the tempo and atmosphere dropped after halftime and took the game by the scruff of the neck. Demanding the ball, orchestrating and shepherding players. Proper leader!

If there was ever an indicator a referee decision wasn’t a clear and obvious error and therefore doesn’t require a VAR review, it’s needing to add on 9mins of extra time.

The tawdry event was an ultimately doomed attempt by the Saudi government to buy the kind of authentic grassroots culture it is unwilling to countenance, says Guardian columnist Jonathan Liew

I admire Mo Salah's restraint.

"Farewell". Really?

Suleiman al-Obeid was killed by the IDF as he was queuing for food in Gaza. Say it, you cowards.

We also remember Gaza, where Israel has dropped over 85,000 tonnes of explosives: five times the power of the atomic bomb, on a densely populated strip of land with six times the people.

More than the Blitz. More than Dresden.

This is not “self-defence” or “war”. It is genocide.

Palestinian statehood is not a bargaining chip.

It is not a threat.

It is an inalienable right of the Palestinian people.

Our demands on this shameful government remain the same: end all arms sales to Israel, impose widespread sanctions, and stop the genocide, now.

PSG have won the Champions League, at long last, and all it took was eight managers, 14 years, £2bn in transfer fees, more in wages, one hyperinflationary spiral and the complete restricting of European football. Easy to love the team. Less so the project. observer.co.uk/news/sport/a...

This week’s column is about ‘the Mandela effect’ of Arteta press conference quotes and the (in my view) seismic gap between what people seem to think he has said versus what he actually says (that I am too neurotic to let go of) and why it exists👇🏻🔴⚪️

Jesus Carragher is an absolute twonk. He’s just taken what Arteta said about ‘not making excuses for red cards and missing players’ and delivered as the opposite of what he said. Absolute cretin.

I’m not too gutted by the result. Was always going to be a tall order, and we could’ve done it if we had just a bit more luck. A game of margins. Given the state of our squad, I can’t feel anything but pride.

Yeah yeah yeah, they were the two best free-kicks you've ever seen in your life. But both of them only happen because of the way Arsenal systematically dismantled Madrid from back to front.
