I recently had a discussion with @noahjnelson.com about (in part) how the comparisons between Apple Vision Pro and other VR devices are missing the point.

We turned that conversation into a very fun podcast episode for @noproscenium.com.

Peep it. 🙂

Apologies for the shameless self promotion. 🙏🏾
This week a true rarity — a SEQUEL as we follow up last week’s minisode with an objection and an expansion on Apple’s biggest play… ever?

Entrepreneur and technologist Kurt Collins @timesync.bsky.social joins us to talk about just what Apple is really up to with the Vision Pro.

I’m old enough to remember the days when Dan Quayle was an embarrassment. Now I have wet dreams about the return of Vice President Quayle. 🙄

Massive, massive win for transgender people out of my birth state of Louisiana.

Louisiana becomes only the 3rd red state to beat back a total gender affirming care ban for trans teens.

Activists there should be truly proud. This was not an easy task.

Louisiana will be an oasis:

Over 58% of people who can get pregnant live in a state that’s banned or is hostile to abortion.

More states are leaning in to the criminalization of abortion.

This surveillance material will be used for terrorism both independent of, and under the banner of, the state.
An anti-abortion group in Wisconsin used geofencing to target individuals entering reproductive clinics with ads about "abortion reversal" & other anti-abortion misinfo. Geofencing can potentially link someone’s phone to a real-life address and even a name: http://dlvr.it/SpFmfR

Can someone explain to me how losing a $1B investment in Florida will win him the presidency? Aren’t the big money donors going to shy away from these kinds of results?

I really miss sane Republicans. Hell… I’ll even take a 2010 Tea Party Republican at this point. #sigh #politics
