This is riveting. Shocking but not really surprising. How unlikely is it really that the U.K. hasn’t been similarly targeted? ‘Among the types of influencers listed as possible collaborators are actors, politicians, media representatives, activists, and clergymen’
Russia is backing 600 US-based influencers, & the list is not released. I'm sure stand-up comics are on there. They also said gamers and minorities. If they aren't releasing a list, there is more to come from the DOJ.

DOJ: Russia Aimed Propaganda at Gamers, Minorities to Swing 2024 Election
Newly unsealed court documents reveal in unprecedented detail a campaign called the Good Old USA Project, which Russian authorities believed could impact the US election.

In her leadership bid, Kemi Badenoch has blamed Tony Blair for everything that’s wrong with Britain. (Okay, grandma.)

Not Brexit, not austerity, not Truss crashing the economy. Because all these things are still okay in the Conservative mindset.

One reason why we don’t need these people back ever.

Interesting polling.

Two-thirds of X/Twitter users think Musk has changed the platform for the worst.

Three in ten are considering leaving.

For a $44 billion investment, it is now surely a case study in catastrophic management.

We live in a world in which propaganda has taken hold of our discourse. We must turn the tables on this and hold people to account. We must change our rules and regulations to safeguard democracy.

This. The single best thing you could do to make being an MP better by about every possible metric is increase our staffing budgets by at least 30-50%. We're all understaffed and can't pay the teams we do have what they're worth, which is a recipe for reduced capacity and increased burnout all round
We honk on and on about MPs' pay and frankly the thing which makes it such a bad job is their staff budgets are tiny, they are not competitive with the voluntary sector on the political side and not competitive with anyone on the admin side.

Missed this the other day - an excellent run down of the challenge we face in getting the UK’s skills levels up

If you’re working on this, make yourselves known! I care massively and want to help push this agenda in Parliament

Bleak.

So, if Farage spends c. 130hrs/month on outside interests and gets paid £120,000 for that, then he won’t be earning his £91,000 MP salary at all. He’ll simply be taking it.
Clacton won’t have an MP serving their interests.
Just a grifter greedily leeching off prejudice and fear.

The jobs market is a dysfunctional space for individual job seekers to navigate. Search firms are largely aloof and inaccessible to individuals. Online applications disappear into a void. Feedback is in short supply. Has to be a better way of matching talent to jobs. Any views? #careertransition
