In 8 ABs with Detroit, Shelly had two singles. He was not on the World Series roster but was still voted one-third of a share.

After retiring as a player, Fox managed in the minors and works as a scout for the White Sox and #Tigers. He also spent several years as a manufacturing rep in Detroit. Pete Fox died in 1966 in Detroit at the age of 57.

After the trade fell through, Fox went on a tear, with hitting streaks of 29 and 17 games. Fox started 124 games in the outfield this season (118 in CF), hitting .321 with 15 HRs and 72 RBIs. Fox hit .385 in the World Series, with four extra base hits.

After being part of the #Tigers second World Championship, Hub Walker announced his retirement from baseball. In his post-playing days, Hub Walker sold automobiles in Detroit and in San Jose. He died in 1982 at the age of 76.

Mickey Cochrane, with his club off to a slow start, wanted more speed in the outfield and summoned for Hub. Walker played in nine games, starting 6 in CF during June. It was Hub's second stint with the #Tigers, the first being in 1931. But Hub hit only .160 and was released at the end of June.

Gee Walker played 8 more years after he left Detroit, playing in Chicago, Washington, Cleveland, and Cincinnati during the war years. After his playing days, Gee Walker did some minor league managing and worked in real estate. He retired to Mississippi in 1959 and died in 1981 at the age of 73.

Walker pinch hit in games 3 and 5 of the World Series and started game 6 in CF. He had one hit in four official at-bats. Gee Walker remains one of the most popular #Tigers with the fans and his teammates, but his attitude has never been popular with team management.

White coached and managed in the minor and major leagues until 1969. He died on October 9, 1986 at the age of 77.

He had four successful seasons in Seattle when Connie Mack signed him to play for the Athletics in 1943 during the war. He played for the A's and the Reds in 1944, then returned to the PCL as a player manager, finally retiring as a player in 1949.

Chet Morgan died in 1991 at the age of 81.

As the #Tigers got off to a slow start, Cochrane put Morgaan in the starting lineup. On April 23, he was in LF when he dropped a fly ball with the bases loaded and 2 outs. Two runs scored on the play and three more later in the inning. It was the last time Morgan was on the field for the #Tigers.

The Goose's health started to deteriorate in 1969. Goslin died in New Jersey at the age of 70 in 1971.
