Demotikos. Fair warning: I have zero tolerance or sympathy for autocrats or oligarchs. My views on them may be “extreme.”

1/ Time to return to the topic of oligarchy, democracy, and what do we actually want from “resistance.” Please see posts below and apologies, I’d gotten out of habits learned on Twitter and neglected to number my “skeet’s”(?). To recap: we resist not to return to status quo ante but re-make society.

Hi All, just sent out this (mostly free). The Long Con of the Trump administration came to an end yesterday, as it was always going to do. We are back in the Oval Office with Trump and Vance ambushing Zelensky. The whole pivot to Ukraine was a sham to help Putin. open.substack.com/pub/phillips...

Good analysis but omits one thing: A genesis. Trump is nothing if not vindictive. He hates Zelenskyy for not delivering on his demand for a faux investigation of Biden back in 2019. That let Biden win in 2020. Biden’s win could’ve put him in jail. This is revenge. open.substack.com/pub/phillips...

Remember when, during 1st term, Trump bulldozed a Montenegrin leader (i think) to get to front of a G20 gaggle? I thought ‘what an asshole.’ Now we know how little he thinks of EU. Turning 🇷🇺 frozen assets into 🇺🇸 slush fund & Trump leads the peace council? Bollocks! www.politico.eu/article/stev...

The GOP/Kremlin plan is nothing short of trying to defeat Ukraine since Russia can't do it. The disgusting fascist Republican administration and party is truly hell spawned demons parading around with crosses around their necks. Fight back here, help Ukraine. This is unacceptable surrender by DC.

Btw, I do hope people understand what they have seen today. It was a well-planned and deliberate ambush of Ukraine by Trump, to force the Ukrainians to bend the knee to Putin's dictatorship. It was not slip-shod, rushed, impulsive or an accident. It was prepared malice.

This has been foreseeable since November 2024. If it catches EU/NATO or 🇺🇦 flat-footed, they’ve no-one to blame but themselves. The sooner the umbilicus w/ 🇺🇸 is cut the better. An unreliable, untrustworthy ally is no asset but a liability, even a threat. The only object remains: 🇷🇺 total defeat.
❗️The United States has threatened to halt weapons supplies and intelligence sharing with Ukraine if Kyiv does not sign the American peace plan by November 27, Reuters reports.

1/ The 28-pt plan is an utterly frivolous & worthless piece of shit that results in 🇺🇸🇷🇺 enrichment, 🇺🇦 disarmament and dismemberment, 🇷🇺 rejoining the global economy, and security guarantees by 2 nations who have violated past guarantees.https://www.ft.com/content/79eefaf8-2fc1-47ac-9653-24cf6a0239f5

President Zelenskyy: please inform the pedophile-in-chief, the morally bankrupt “leader” of a dysfunctional, dying republic, to shove his “Munich” demand so far up his ass, it gives his tongue a paper cut. Disarm & cede land?! For what? An illusory promise? 🇺🇸 already welshed on Budapest; no more.
🇺🇸‼️🇺🇦 The U.S. has signalled to Zelensky that Ukraine must accept a U.S.-drafted framework to end the war with Russia that proposes Kyiv giving up territory and some weapons, - Reuters

The proposals included cutting the size of Ukraine's armed forces, among other things.

Thinking about the Senate Democrats’ capitulation this weekend, I’m thinking that civil wars don’t get started by uncompromising firebrands but rather by enfeebled geriatrics, clinging to a chimera of “bipartisanship” until any chance of staving off collapse is gone.

“Turn the f*ckin volume up, you low IQ f*ckin f*ck”! Mamdani quoted Eugene Debs right out of the gate. Move over, Obama - this guy is an orator and a genuine change agent. You gotta be both, Barack, and you weren’t.

Sorry, NATO’s general secretary is an uninspiring appeaser in just about every way. He’s about as useful as a “poop flavored lollie pop”. When does his pointless term of office end?
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte:

Russia is not alone in its efforts to undermine global rules -it is working with China,North Korea,Iran, others, strengthening defense industrial cooperation to unprecedented levels&preparing for long-term confrontation

We cannot be naive. We must be prepared.

1/ For media outlets trying to lionize Dick Cheney, I have only his words: "Go f*ck yourself." One of the most despicable politicians of the 20th Century, he's responsible for killing more Americans than bin Laden, not to mention fostering the 'unitary executive' BS that fuels Krasnov's tyranny.

1/ Krasnov and his corrupt cabal of christo-fascists won’t be content for long with “disappearing” immigrants alone. Sooner or later - and most likely sooner - US citizens of the wrong political outlook will start to vanish as well. Some think Trump’s resort to violence just shows his weakness.

Every time Rutte speaks, I can’t help but wonder: Is he a Putin agent? He is, quite literally, the shittiest person to act as NATO general secretary. Can he not be removed?
❗️🇺🇸 Rutte supports Trump's call to stop the war in Ukraine on the front lines:

🗣️"Stop where you are - that's the main message. And again, we will continue the dialogue this afternoon, and I'm here to help him do everything that NATO can do - to help him realize this vision."

Excellent news! The Gripen is precisely the kind of warplanes Ukraine needs. Capable of operating without the usual infrastructure that NATO aircraft require, it’s perfect for dispersed deployment. I bet Sweden can’t wait to show off its combat capabilities to potential customers.
🇸🇪🇺🇦 Zelensky confirmed that Ukraine has already trained and is training pilots for Gripen. Next year should be the beginning of the use of these aircraft.

I’ve said it before and no doubt will again: There will never be a genuine “about face” by Trump in his dealings w/ Putin, 🇺🇦, or EU. He is Putin’s puppet. He is Krasnov. He is no ally of EU or NATO or the ‘democratic’ world. Anyone who falls for his turnabout antics is a fool, or worse.

1/ You know, watching the US fall apart in real time has me thinking: why not let the government shutdown be permanent? Frankly, the longer the shutdown lasts, the greater the chances for a real revolution to replace the sick oligarchic republic with a genuine democracy on classical Greek lines.
