The lazy sameness of today’s Fantasy/SF covers. I’ll be happy when this trend ends.

David Foster Wallace was a great admirer of David Lynch, and I believe he found inspiration in #TwinPeaks. Check out Wallace's short story, "Oblivion," which, like Twin Peaks, deals with dreams and unreliable narration. It also contains this not-so-subtle reference:

And I believe picture of the atomic explosion behind Cole's desk is a picture of Shot Hood (part of the Plumbbob testing series detonated on July 5, 1957).

Added three new book to my Lynch/Twin peaks library. All seem like good books with much to offer. I’m on the fence about a fourth book though (second pic); it’s handsome (and Wrapped in Plastic gets a mention!), but it’s pretty much an overview of Lynch’s career without any real depth.

Cleaning the kitchen pantry and found this 30-year old can of Georgia Coffee (the expiration was Sept. 96). Emptied it and cleaned it out. (No, I did not drink it.)

Here’s an interesting tidbit I dug up from a back issue of Wrapped In Plastic (#35, June, 1998):

The first time I saw Rebekah Del Rio perform was at the 2003 #TwinPeaks Festival in Snoqualmie WA. (Thank you, Eisenstadt family, for this wonderful experience.)

I'm devastated to hear about the passing of Rebekah Del Rio. She was an incredible talent and will be sorely missed. Her performance in Mulholland Drive is one of the greatest moments in any David Lynch film.

Not surprised at this price. Had it been in yesterday's #DavidLynch auction, it would have likely sold for even more.

Was this idea used in The Return, albeit subtly? Frost describes a "yelling for help" in The Great Northern--an implication that Josie is trapped there. In Part 7, Ben and Beverly hear a strange hum, and then the camera pushes into the wood paneling. Is Josie haunting the GN? I think so!

"Connections" stats! Today I marked 100 "Purple Firsts." Pretty, pretty good!

I’m not interested in the physical books David Lynch owned, I’m interested in the titles he may have read. The bid on this stack is currently $1000. I’ve managed to get half of these titles (used) for about $25.
