Yes, it's gotten old, and maybe it's a bit over-used, but let this reference to the Superb Owl be a reminder of just how funny What We Do In The Shadows was. 🦉

I actually think this sounds better live.

I’ve been trying to catch @nin.com at their Florida shows. Last night in Jacksonville, they played “She’s Gone Away” (first time I’ve seen that), “Perfect Drug,” and had Laura’s theme over the PA at the show’s end. A wonderful Lynchian night. #twinpeaks #davidlynch

I’m grateful to Martha Nochimson for a copy of her upcoming book, Quantum Screens. She and I often disagree, but I always find her insights valuable and provocative. In addition to Twin Peaks, this study looks at 2001, The Tree of Life, Eternal Sunshine, Watchmen, and more. It’s worth your time.

Terribly sad to report the passing of Twin Peaks super-fan, Christian Hartleben. Always kind and generous, Chris helped me in the early stages of writing Ominous Whoosh.

Chris will be sorely missed. In this sad time I take solace in the words of The Log Lady: "Death is just a change, not and end."

This is a really big deal! Harley Peyton is the unsung hero of #TwinPeaks! Don’t miss this rare opportunity to hear one of the primary creators of the original series speak. I can’t wait to join Scott at the event.
I am excited to announce that on February 21 at 11 AM, I will be interviewing @harleypeyton.bsky.social with the great @thornewip.bsky.social at my side to keep me in check. This is a FREE event at the The Real #TwinPeaks event. Come join us for a discussion of the original series

It's times like these that I'm glad I left Twitter/X last year and deleted my account. *Never going back.*

A real treat for #TwinPeaks fans--an oral history of the Georgia Coffee commercials. (If you squint real hard, these ads could almost be in continuity.) As for Ashbrook's mysterious "fifth commercial," I wonder if he filmed a scene for the original four, but it was cut for time. Will we ever know?

The kind of "In Memorial" The Oscars can never give us. The final tribute brought tears to my eyes. You'll know why when you see it.

Once again, I'm massively impressed by the research done by @twinpeaksblog.bsky.social! More incredible bits of detail about the #TwinPeaks Georgia Coffee commercials. (I never knew who *really* owned that cool car until today!)
FOUND! The Von Senger Waibel car seen in the 1993 David Lynch-directed Georgia Coffee commercials. This rare 1948 vehicle was once owned by “Twin Peaks” producer (and Cowboy from “Mulholland Drive”) Monty Montgomery. Today the repainted car resides in Argentina twinpeaksblog.com/2025/12/19/t...

One of my all-time favorite movies, Brazil, was released 40 years ago today. I never get tired of watching this audacious masterpiece.

A couple of thoughts:
1) I'm definitely getting this!
2) Lynch would not have been happy about an audio commentary.
3) Could a competing Criterion release be in the works (and this is an effort to get ahead of that)?
4) I'm definitely getting this!

The threat of A.I. as subtext in Plur1bus (one of the year's best shows).

Courtenay is absolutely right. I urge every David Lynch fan to read this article, not only for what it says about Lynch but also for what it says about us as human beings. Lynch knew we had the potential to be better. Let's not let him down.
Great article about how David Lynch’s art beared witness to suffering and offered compassion in a brutal world. Lynch’s death was like a light that was extinguished — a light that showed the barbarism but also the empathy of humanity.

Two new books for my Lynch/Twin Peaks library. Both look promising, but I worry about too much “academese” in them. We’ll see. Glad I have them, though.

Nice to see all my books on this list!
Marking the 1,000th article on Twin Peaks Blog with an extensive list of Twin Peaks & David Lynch-related books. As an archivist (and the son of a librarian), I greatly value these books. They are filled with invaluable treasures about the wonderful & strange show twinpeaksblog.com/2025/12/06/w...
