Tl;dr - if Labour want to combat racism, they should say racism is wrong, over and over, and act on that belief (e.g. by leaving certain social media sites owned by racists). That would do more to promote anti-racist norms, and protect the interests of Britain's minorities than immigration controls.

The less obviously meaty name could represent an olive branch to work with the Greens in future? 500% taxes on butchers?

Cool to blame the youngest and least experienced members of your team!

Great podcast, thanks! Fascinating to hear more about the behind-the-scenes machinations that led to the system we have ended up with.

Never a better time for Welsh podcasting!

I remember visiting Shree Geeta Bhawan Mandir as a tiny kid in first school, at least 25 years ago, and it honestly made such an impression on me as an amazing place, growing up in a very white (at the time) Birmingham commuter village!

Thanks for your great work on this poll and other recent polls! Does your model have projections for the seats won in each of the 16 constituencies so we can get an idea of the competition for the last couple of seats in each area?

Not sure I agree. I think there were a lot of people around in 2019 explaining just how poorly suited Johnson was for government, and it seemed very likely that he would make many unforced errors over the subsequent five years with the potential to bring down his own administration.

How did we let Jimmy Savile get away with it? Perhaps we’ll never really understand. Now, over to Windsor Castle where police arrested four people for protesting a state visit by a self-confessed abuser and possible paedophile

Ah to be this unpopular! I would buy so much shit!

Interesting, the @cavendishcymru.bsky.social model projects Plaid and RefUK as neck and neck on 36 seats each based on these figures.

Clearly a tiny shift in any direction could wildly swing the overall balance of seats!

Stick with Starmer or risk Streeting?

Great thread, thank you.

I want an honest convo about student and grad visas that accepts that lots of students want to stay and work and build a life after graduation. People fall in love and start families, and this is GOOD.

Why educate the rest of the world then just wash our hands of them?

Since the Deputy Leader of Welsh Labour is an MP at Westminster, perhaps the UK Deputy could be an MS?
