The biggest mistake I keep seeing in the AI space is an assumption that a “chatter box” is an ideal user experience.
People just want to get things done, not have AI talk back at them.

kid made his first foray into transgressive art this week. In the tradition of Magritte he drew squares around his classroom & told the other kids that the squares represented a penis. the teacher made him remove all of the squares even tho they were only squares. trying hard to look stern about it

As someone who grew up online, it does depress me to see how many people genuinely can’t fathom why someone would want to be on social media beyond reasons linked to building clout so you can make money.
It’s fun to talk to interesting people from around the world. That’s always been my reason.
