It is fascinating to me how every conversation about cycling invites dozens of comments like this. It’s true that some cyclists are rude! It’s also true that this is not relevant to whether traffic laws should be changed

There is a certain type of cyclist who acts like a fucking asshole whenever sharing a space with pedestrians and whenever you mention it a million of them go "well cars are worse" okay thank you for screaming at my child for daring to walk on a mixed use path I guess.

There's been a lot of mockery of the notion that people are being canceled for their belief ("which conservative belief were you canceled for, tax cuts?"). But in these cases, this isn't even what happened - the people in question chose to cancel themselves (among liberals) for whatever reason. /end
