A little cut and paste this morning

Spent some time today making a display for my table at SF Zine Fest using the super smart Thuban Press pattern and instructions, plus a big cardboard box from the basement.
A simple corrugated cardboard structure intended to display zines at a fair. It is a simple stair-step bookshelf made out of a cut-up UHaul moving box.

I made a diorama for the @oaklibrary.bsky.social exhibit and it’s about a pigeon that rode the AC Transit bus in the 1960s.

Sharing art? Would love to! Here’s a trans flag I made to carry in the Pride parade in support of, ya know, people who are trans. It wound up being kind of delicate but I did do some quality swirls with it 💗

Ran out of coffee so had a cappuccino and a little pastry in the fog. And then I saw some nice dogs (please zoom in on car dog’s face).

Sometimes hanging out with Remy makes me wonder if she’s actually a tiny human in a very convincing cat suit.

I’ve been making these mending kits to share with unhoused neighbors who come to my workplace looking for resources. In case you, like me, are thinking “what can I do to help?” It’s a small thing in this big world but it’s still something.

More miniatures! This one was for my Secret Santa at work, who loves The Silence of the Lambs in a big way.

Happy Halloween! Figured out my papier-mâché skulls, and then made some marigolds with quilting cotton and attached everything to a wreath form from last Xmas.

Making skulls for my holiday wreath out of balled up plastic bags, masking tape, papier-mache, and now 3D details with hot glue. Will cover the whole thing with tissue paper and paint the details.
