I feel like a man who has aced a cognitive test should now show us how to start a lawn mower
Trump on John Deere: "We're gonna say, 'you're gonna reduce the prices.' They're gonna have to reduce their prices. Because farming equipment has gotten too expensive ... in many cases, you need about a 185 IQ to turn on a lawnmower."

And what exactly is this payment bridging dear farmer man?
random farmer to Trump on what his child said to him: "He said, 'Daddy, I don't want Santa Claus to come to our house for Christmas, I want President Trump.' I think you brought Christmas to farmers with this bridge payment."

Is he now asking people to do a full workout routine in suits before boarding a plane?
Duffy on what he's doing to improve the airport experience for travelers: "Maybe I want a workout area where people might get some blood flowing doing some pull ups or step ups in the airport."

Can't realize something that's not real
Trump on Gaza: "They had a problem today with a bomb that went off. Hurt some people pretty badly, probably killed some people. Just happened. But we have peace in the Middle East. People don't realize it."

Not a POC in sight
Trump, continued: "What the Somalian people have done to Minnesota is not even believable. It’s not even believable. And a lot of it starts with the governor. A lot of it starts with Barack HUSSEIN Obama, because that’s when people started coming in... They want to kiss our country good night."

You....already can't...use them there.
Dear lord these people are idiots
Joni Ernst: "I have a McSCUSE ME Act which would disallow those SNAP benefits being used at fast food restaurants. We want to make sure that those hungry families, those food insecure families actually are receiving benefits, but we want them to really use those dollars on nutrient-rich foods."

So housing IS a right?!
JD Vance: "Why did homes get so unaffordable? Because we had 20 million illegal aliens in this country taking homes that ought by right go to American citizens."
December 2, 2025 at 6:09 PM
Trump cutting some free ads for Dems to use in the midterms
Trump: "The word 'affordability' is a Democrat scam"

As an average American, I can say that I typically care about any and all needless deaths of human beings, regardless of if by drugs or missiles
Van Orden: "You gotta understand that average Americans do not care about these narcoterrorists at all. They care about the fact that their brothers & sisters and mothers and husbands have died of fentanyl overdoses. That's what we really truly care about. We care about our fellow American citizens"

I've worked for my employer (commercial construction) for almost a decade. In that time, I've only ever seen 3 seasonal layoffs happen and the last 2 have both been since January 2025
December 1, 2025 at 10:24 PM
This reminds me of the news pieces or "man on the street" interviews with people in grocery stores who were confused or angry that their SNAP cards weren't working even though it was the beginning of the month and that's when they were always loaded.
A surprise to anyone who wasn't paying attention and anyone who believes Trump's nonsense about foreign countries paying, anyway.

To be fair, that's probably about half the American public, if not more.

Salazar: "In Congress we've understood that China, we need to bring those jobs back. Maybe to the United States, but maybe near-shoring or rear-shoring. Maybe it's time to bring those jobs to Venezuela and to Chile and to Bolivia and to Central and South America. They happen to be in our back yard."

Wait until he finds out who pays for and installs those hydrants!
Markwayne Mullin: "Reward people for being healthy. Think about this. Healthcare is the only industry that you're not rewarded for taking care of your responsibility. If you think about homeowners insurance, if you're within 500 feet of a fire hydrant, your insurance goes down."

Lindsey Graham: "I don't think I've ever been on a show more unnerving than tonight. You've got US senators and members of the House suggesting to our men and women in the military that they should be disobeying unlawful orders issued by President Trump and his military."

Trump on MBS: "He's investing $1 trillion into the United States." (The entire GDP of Saudi Arabia is $1.1 trillion, so yeah, this isn't happening)
November 19, 2025 at 12:54 AM
Is that a thing? Cause I don't think that's a thing
Trump: "Tonight I'm pleased to announce that we're taking our military cooperation to even greater heights by formally designating Saudi Arabia as a major non-NATO ally."

Brooke Rollins: "One of the great untold stories is in just 10 months, almost everything does cost less." (I can think of a reason that "story" isn't being told ... )

The fundamental flaw of today's politics is people thinking that politicians can meaningfully reduce prices. Once a price point is set, and corporate profits are realized, that bar is never coming back down. 1/
One of the weird elephants in the room that no one wants to quite talk about head on is that the entire conceit of the neoliberal political economy is that elected leaders can't control the price level! So no wonder everyone is going run right into a brick wall.
