Not mine, and I'm sure you may have seen this elsewhere but yeah... PhD level this is not. Just as well people aren't deploying it within critical systems in government departments or other low-key stuff like that.

Another rewatch, Croupier was even more nihilistic than I remember - excellent 'oh, him/her!' cast, Clive Owen being superlative, and proper old school ambiguity about whether Jack is embellishing or reinterpreting events for the purpose of his book.

First fave album of 2025 and yes, you should definitely listen to Sharon Van Etten & The Attachment Theory. Ticks all the best post-punk / new wave boxes, delivered with a massive side order of dreamlike pop melodies and hooks.

Not sure this was the ideal week to read Ursula K Le Guin's sci-fi political satire, which shows how human weakness and greed can twist any system of government - no matter how good it's intentions - but there we are!
