one blessing is that the guys who make AI music technology don't actually know much about music so the songs are all very simplistic in the same way

I do remember when rowling wrote her first transphobic ramble on her blog and it was awarded a prize by the BBC's amol rajan, who compared it favourably to enoch powell. he praised it for its "plain english"- one of the many things it didn't have

there's something so hacky about the way those novels are trying to hammer in the "quirky" idiosyncracies and then you grow up and find out about the hitchhikers guide and discworld and you're like oh she was just trying to write like this
