not because i'm superstitious, but because i remember that one episode of Billy and Mandy with the little snail that crawls in your ear and it fucked me up.

The main couple hates each other for 90% of the series. The guy is victim to several misunderstandings and the girl stubbornly refuses to listen to his side of the story. Every time they argue, the guy is never allowed to be right because Rumiko Takahashi hates men. It's all here.

Ranma 1/2 (2024) (seasons 1 and 2)

I enjoyed the manga in highschool and I was excited for a new adaptation. However, upon revisiting this story, I realized that this series was Patient Zero for my most hated romcom harem anime cliches. Everything people complained about InuYasha originated here.

The #1 movie when you were 10 years old is how your 2026 is going to go.

I turned 10 in 2001, but it was so late in the year that I don't even count it. That, and the highest grossing movie that year was Harry Potter.

I was finally able to play D&D because my favorite comic shop does game nights. Despite the stereotype, it's a game that requires a social life, a job, and free time. I have officially joined the forces of Stan and Lou Seifur.

Those movies are overrated, sure, but to say they made zero impact on pop-culture is a bold-faced lie. Remember the 3D fad of the early '10s?…. I didn't say it had to be a positive impact.
Take a drink everytime someone says "cultural impact" when talking about Avatar.

Zach Hadel voicing both a minor character in Hazbin Hotel & The Amazing Digital Circus who ends up broke is an in-joke on the fact that he works for [adult swim] and won't ever get an actual cut of the money Smiling Friends has made.

It's nice that we're getting a new Mega Man game, but it'd be neat if we get a new X game or even Legends 3.

South Park (seasons 27 and 28)

I probably would have enjoyed these more if each episode didn't have a 2-3 week gap. I enjoy Trump bashing as much as the next guy, but this season basically turned into Trey and Matt's spiritual successor to That's My Bush. At least Tegridy Farms is finally gone.

If this had been Illumination or Sony Animation when they still sucked, you just know they would have cast Jonah Hill as Ratchet, the first British actor who said "yes" as Clank, and John Cena or Dwayne Johnson as Qwark. Though, John Cena would probably kill it in live action.
Say what you will about the Ratchet & Clank movie, but I can appreciate that it got most of the original VAs back in their respective roles. With it being Jim Ward's final performance as Qwark before he retired, and one where his Flanderization was undone, you could have had a worse swan song. RIP

Not only did we lose Jeff Garcia (Sheen) but we also lost Jim Ward, a actor i have enjoyed for decades from Doug Dimmadome from Fairly OddParents and especially Qwark from Ratchet and Clank.
Rest in Peace Jim and thank you for so many memorable moments

Beavis and Butt-head (seasons 9 to 11)

Why is Mike Judge the only creator who knows how to revive his shows? As people get more stupid, Beavis and Butt-head remain timeless, despite modernization. The episodes where the duo are middle aged and fail at adulting offer a neat change in formula.
