Guy who rants and reacts to video games. He/Him, bisexual, Actually Autistic
Ranma 1/2 (2024) (seasons 1 and 2)

I enjoyed the manga in highschool and I was excited for a new adaptation. However, upon revisiting this story, I realized that this series was Patient Zero for my most hated romcom harem anime cliches. Everything people complained about InuYasha originated here.

I'm sure Guru Larry isn't going to get bombarded with this.

Rick and Morty (season 8)

I completely forgot that I watched this.

South Park (seasons 27 and 28)

I probably would have enjoyed these more if each episode didn't have a 2-3 week gap. I enjoy Trump bashing as much as the next guy, but this season basically turned into Trey and Matt's spiritual successor to That's My Bush. At least Tegridy Farms is finally gone.

Say what you will about the Ratchet & Clank movie, but I can appreciate that it got most of the original VAs back in their respective roles. With it being Jim Ward's final performance as Qwark before he retired, and one where his Flanderization was undone, you could have had a worse swan song. RIP

Beavis and Butt-head (seasons 9 to 11)

Why is Mike Judge the only creator who knows how to revive his shows? As people get more stupid, Beavis and Butt-head remain timeless, despite modernization. The episodes where the duo are middle aged and fail at adulting offer a neat change in formula.

Didn't have Judi Dench pulling a Kayli Mills for Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey on my Bingo card.

I just realized a lot things that could happen if Paramount actually buys WB: Cartoon Network could merge with Nickelodeon. We could get South Park, Beavis and Butt-head, and Daria on [adult swim]. We could get Avatar: The Last Airbender on Toonami!

It just occurred to me that this guy probably knows that Peter Parker is Spider-Man. Not only did he see him without his mask on, but Peter was probably required to sign a lot of legal documents.

The Right is turning against Sydney Sweeney for this, and the Left knows this is damage control after her last movie flopped.

Oh, god, it's finally happening: we're getting Special Edition revisionism.

Imagine the reality where Akira Toriyama did the character designs for Final Fantasy, and Yoshitaka Amano/Tetsuya Nomura did the designs for Dragon Quest.

Stranger Things (season 4)

Many consider this the best season since the first, and... Yeah, I agree. Vecna is a good villain, Max's arc made me care about her after two seasons of indifference, and Mike and El's subplot had a welcome change in scenery. Still don't care for the Russian plot.

Absolute Batman (issues 1-13)

This dystopian take on the Dark Knight does something new and interesting with the franchise's lore. However, it often feels too much like a '90s Image comic, and I feel Bruce Wayne being working class isn't properly utilized.

In terms of Netflix adaptations, are we talking Eichiro Oda "involved," or Shinichiro Watanabe "involved?"

The DIC dub is obsolete now. The people who still use the DIC names are the same people who say Kefka was the villain of Final Fantasy III.

Stranger Things (season 3)

The romantic subplots really held this season down, not helped by Mike and Hopper both acting out of character for the drama to happen. The Mind Flayer plot was good, but the Russian soldier plot felt out of place. The product placement was more obnoxious than The Boys.

One-Punch Man didn't fall off. It jumped off and did a flip.

Hazbin Hotel (season 2)

I guess now that the crew knew they were getting another season, this didn't feel as rushed as season 1. Vox has more of a presence than Adam did in season 1, making for a better villain with a media manipulation conflict that will always be relevant.

Five Nights At Freddy's, the franchise set in a haunted pizzeria, is doing a tie-in with Popeyes fucking Chicken. That'd be like Bob's Burgers doing a promo with Taco Bell.
