I loved this autobiography about a child actor who went through hell & back embarking on a career she didn’t want, forced into by her abusive mother. I won’t give too much away but it’s a deep look at abusive relationships, the seedy world of show business & mental health & eating disorders #booksky

Took baby to the library today. Did he sit still? No. Would he let me read him a book? Still no. Was he only interested in the wheels on the book trollies? Yes. Whilst I know he’s his own person I would so love to sit and read a book with him without him completely having a meltdown. Help.

OMG just got in from watching #wicked at the cinema. What. A. Production. The audience clapped. My daughter was enthralled. That is a masterclass in how to adapt a stage show for the big screen. Wheew!

I “read” 50 books last year and it would not have been possible without audiobooks. My fave was #ultraprocessedpeople by far.

Continuing that thought… is it that people are uncomfortable? And if so, why? Don’t get me wrong, we’ve had people show up for us, my colleagues especially have been incredible but the distinct lack of celebration cards & messages are a stark contrast to the birth of our daughter. #adoption

This! Especially thinking about these things lately. Comparing my birth story to my #adoption story, people seem to really shy away from asking & supporting even though I can honestly say adoption much harder than growing your family biologically. We needed you all more than ever, be there for us.
Be a somebody who celebrates others, shows up in hard times, supports and doesn’t judge. Always a time for #kindness

So our #adoption journey is picture perfect so far, we got an hour with baby boy out in the fresh air. He’s so comfortable with us already. I know it won’t be a breeze everyday but neither is parenting a birth child. Can’t wait for them both to be together this weekend.
