It's cruel. It's an incredible escalation of their anti-trans culture war. And there is still a chance to stop the provision in the Senate, so if you have a trans person in your life you care about, I implore you - make your voice heard with your Senators. Both of them. Republican OR Democrat.

I will never forget standing in the NMAAHC looking at a CRT TV in a bigger exhibition of 80s stuff, watching a helicopter casually drop a bomb on the residential neighbourhood of a major US city as I thought “this cannot be real”.
