Far from saving us £350 million a week as Brexiters promised, #Brexit is costing the UK a mind-boggling *£17,000 million* a week 🤯 #bbcqt

#bbcqt Was called for jury service in Scotland in 2014. Went along, loads of people in the room on day 1, court official asks for people to step forward who can't do service, I go up, self employed day rate contractor, no idea how long the case will run, explained my position and allowed to leave.

#bbcqt the 2 child benefit cap was wrong from the start. Pregnancy can occur from failed contraception or as a result of rape, and neither the mother nor the child should be punished for that. Also, no-one can predict their finances for the next 18+ years.

#bbcqt Ah, we're following the usual approach. OBR figures suggest a downward turn in growth, post-budget, we're at the "So, what the hell are you lot doing?" questioning phase after 14 years of abject, crony pocket lining failure.

But aye, Labour's fault.

And I vote SNP. Usual limited pish on QT.

Calum, the Peebles based Tory currently bumping his gums on Ferrari's show is spinning the usual tropes you get - but trickle down economics do not work.

They've tried it for years and it's all bollocks. The wealth gap isn't narrowed one jot. Instead it grows and this clown knows it.

#Budget2025 I see the gum bumping's in full swing on Ferrari's daily wail.

#bbclaurak Worth mentioning that more millionaires are being created in the UK than there are leaving.

Imagine the surprise...
The black hole in Durham County Council’s budget has grown by £11.1mn in the past two months under the control of Reform UK.

Its cabinet has been forced to approve a £10mn list of cuts.

But the measures will still leave the county council with a deficit of £72mn over the coming four years
Reform cabinet backs £10mn cuts to start filling Durham’s growing black hole
Reform is now learning that running a big council is not as easy as it probably thought

#bbcqt Danny mate, the cause of long term poverty isn't welfare, it's the growing wealth gap between the wealthy and the poor. And many many years of Tory governance since 1979. 32 of the last 46 to be precise.

#bbcqt Woman in audience doesn't think more women are attacked by someone they know. Jeezo...and then Kruger chimes in with "Human Rights Act that your party brought in". Yeah, let's get rid of human rights you festering tosser.

#r4today Navel gazing show today, Tim Davie, the DG is off, the Head of News is off. Bizarrely, leaving for circumstances that get you elected in America.

Well done #ColinSeymour. 👍

#Frankenstein Sumptuous looking film, in this fresh take from Guillermo del Toro and wonderful to see the shots they filmed in Edinburgh.

Could've done with taking down The People's Story sign at the old Tolbooth in the Canongate right enough. Good to see they filmed right where I was born though!

The geordie "they're all the same" poppy man needs to be reminded Labour didn't tank the country in 2008. It was sub-prime mortgages that caused that in the States. So maybe voting Tory continually didn't turn out to be the right thing either #bbcqt

#bbcqt Graham Stewart talking about de-industrialising after Thatcher sold off (and sold out) Britain's industrial heartlands and services is quite the take from tonight.
