FIRE (the free-speech organization) has taken on the defense of J. Ann Selzer, the Des Moines Register pollster who's being frivolously sued by Donald Trump.

For #Caturday, I illustrate the difference between Tyson and Sagan. Tyson insisted on going out to the patio to snooze on the couch in the frigid cold. Meanwhile, Sagan remained indoors and burrowed under the throw.

Too many of our checks and balances rely on norms, traditions and the honor code.
It works when those elected into power are people of honor and integrity who respect our norms and traditions.
