I wonder if it would be this bad had he won in 2020. It seem given four years to stew and cry about it, and more people having access to him during that time, they were able to conspire for what's happening now. If it was a consecutive term, they might not have had the opportunity.

It will take time, but as with all the Nazis "just following orders" they'll get their day in court.

Any guardsman following illegal orders should be brought up on charges. We don’t need cowards in our military.

What did they say? People think the fall to fascism happens in one fell swoop. It's the excusing hundreds of little things like this over time that brings it. In 20 years, real democracies are going to be teaching this is schools, and they're going to name the names of every silent Republican.

So, someone who is proven to embrace prison to serve Trump in absolute fealty. Seems like everyone can ignore the cheerleading and slavering over Trump with every statistical report that comes out for the rest of his term.

I haven't checked in here much lately. I had hoped it would take off and siphon everyone possible from Elon Musk, but alas...

Making immigration tough isn't being tough on immigration. The o9ut of reach they make legal migration, the more illegal migration they encourage. Maybe that's the goal: to feed the sadistic urges of Kristi Noem and her masked goon squad.

That would require a heart.

They aren't ruling for or against Trump; they're ruling for or against the degradation of the Constitution and rule of law.

So much for being the "most transparent administration in history."

Speaking of running a third time, I thought you might have been wrong on Jake Tapper. Found this article, and it's frightening. Let's only hope Obama could be convince to step up to the podium again. I long to hear him speak. cornerstonelaw.us/22nd-amendme...
The 22nd Amendment doesn't say what you think it says
Contrary to popular belief, the 22nd Amendment to the US Constitution does not actually prohibit a third term for a President.

Looking at the screenshots of the chat in The Atlantic, it had the chat set to expire after one week. Isn't that a violation of the Federal Records Act? Don't all these Signal conversation fall under that and they are in violation of the law?

How could ANYTHING @amberruffin.bsky.social says or does be fractionally worse than what Tony Hinchcliffe said? Or be as bad as Colin Jost generally? I think she knows how to be funny without being ugly and offensive if they simply ask.

It's Trump's "flood the zone" tactic. Women's rights are still in the fight, but evening with a 24 minute news cycle, there's still so much that needs to be reported that if we aren't glued to a device doomscrolling 24 hours a day, we might miss coverage of things that are important to us.

Just saw Hegseth interviewed about it and have just one question: Is "Russia, Russia, Russia" the required invocation of the investigation into Russian meddling in Trumpland?

I just watch a 3-part documentary on Julius Caesar on PBS. The parallels are frighteningly similar in nearly every facet, and it looks like OUR Congress is getting ready to make the same mistake the Roman senate did when dealing with a populist. It should be required viewing RIGHT NOW.
