It’s right there in the language we use tbh. “Getting fucked” is a bad thing that usually means you’ve had something taken from you, likely underhandedly. Inherently framed as a competition/transaction where one party has to “win” and one has to “lose.”

This phrase always confused me as a kid because of this reason, lol. “Broken” can mean a lot of things, and some of them wouldn’t result in the clock ever being right! When I realized it meant specifically “stopped” it made a lot more sense haha.
