Yet federal cuts threaten that spark—and with it future innovation.

If your “energy bill” helps billionaires get richer while we get dirtier air and higher prices…
It’s not giving “big” or “beautiful.” It’s giving bought & paid for.

How the ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ positions US energy to be more costly for consumers and the climate
Some technologies could rapidly cut emissions, while others do little to fight climate change. The House bill favors the latter while nixing support for the former.

To be completely honest, it feels pretty damn dark and lonely right now. As a scientist in Utah, I don't have much hope for the future. Rly only have my wife to talk to about it, the majority of my family doesn't care and are happy with their vote. Could be worse but it didn't have to get this bad.🧪

Make no mistake, removing the CDC recommendations for COVID-19 vaccines for kids and pregnant women is going to kill people, and it will disproportionately affect people who cannot afford to pay for vaccines out of pocket.

Do not forget that this decision was made without a confirmed CDC Director.

tl;dr — this EO co-opts the language of open science to implement a system of political control wherein presidential appointees are given broad latitude to designate any number of reasonable scientific activities and inferences as scientific misconduct, and to penalize those involved accordingly.

Economists warn: Trump’s science cuts threaten the U.S. economy.

Slashing funding for NIH, NSF, and NASA hurts every American. These cuts are killing jobs, stalling innovation, and shrinking our economic future.

We all pay the price when science is defunded.

We're all just a collection of barely spontaneous biochemical reactions made possible by enzymes. Each of those reactions produces a tiny amount of free energy. There are too many morons that use that free energy to spread misinformation and hate. You don't get it back, spend it wisely.

There are 3 types of people since Oct 7th.

Those who condemn only the killing of Israeli kids.
Those who condemn only the killing of Palestinian kids.
And those of us who condemn the killing of both.

Don’t be in the first 2 groups - the 1st one dominates our politics & media.
