Hi there! I'm Rita. From Naples 🇮🇹, engineer & researcher in intimate health 🧪 I write on The Rampant Hatter, a space I made to share insights about my research. Sometimes, I also leave space for personal anecdotes. Depending on my mood and mental capacity.
I wish I had a photograph, from that snippet of life. Maybe I'd be eating a “fagottino” in the background, who knows.

It felt like a normal part of the day, I never thought much of it. I remember on holidays he would go to the kiosk at 6.30am, specifically to get the freshly printed editions. More often than not, he would get there before the newspapers could.

Because of course he would read both right and left wings publications. He was a very analytical man, and I guess I took after him — I'm just a bit more whimsical at times.

I guess I felt nostalgic, so I got myself two hard copies. Financial Times and The Observer. I had a sudden flashback of my grandad, sitting on the balcony, swapping between newspapers.

I'm still in the phase where I'm enjoying the last few drops of summer rain, with background Christmas jazz. I do think I'm the love of my life, and honestly? It doesn't sound as bad as they make it up to be. 🍃

We can't afford data leaks on period tracking apps
Pun intended... but seriously, we need to get this right

While the Act promises stronger online protection and clearer regulations, it’s already flagging health creators for the unsolicited promotion of ‘adult content’... and you guessed it, we recently ended up in that storm on Instagram, just the other week.

If you are trying to advertise a health app that mildly refers to period tracking or sexual wellbeing, you could get flagged for breaching content guidelines.

But it's funny how it's all a matter of circumstances: the right book, the right page, at the right time.

If you write for 1 person, may this be imaginary or real, you are basically trying to please that one person only, not a whole crowd.
I cannot remember nor the book or the author, and this is bugging me.

I was browsing books at Waterstones yesterday. I was looking for inspiration among the "critical essays" section, and I stumbled into a book which wrote "If you write for 1 person that's how you find your voice, not if you write for a 1000 of them".

And if you are wearing panty liners, incontinence pads or menstrual pads today, be sure to change regularly when it starts to feel damp. You might find you need to do it much more frequently than usual due to all the extra sweat moisture.
