I suck at short and pithy. I reported on a difficult story about alleged sexual abuse of minors and ran into this kind of stuff all the time, and from liberals as often as conservatives. Liking the accused was more likely to determine if somebody would take these gross positions.

Sure sounds like it.

It’s tough because we are so segregated and low density the strategies that work in places like Chicago may not work as well here. But documenting what you see is important. I wear a whistle these days but don’t know if the concept has penetrated enough to make that useful.
