People missing an important point about folks getting fired for whatever they said about Charlie Kirk: Americans are being conditioned to be snitches on their fellow citizens who don’t toe a party line on what is “allowed” to be expressed. And employers are going along. It’s the new secret police

Rep. Bryan Steil (R-WI) —dragged at his own town hall.

He should have known when it kicked off w/constituents reciting the Pledge of Allegiance w/extra emphasis on “justice for all.”

Then came the truth:
“I don’t think you’re the right fit for us anymore.”

Even telling him it’s time to step down.

The Fed provides the best example of the importance of having “independent” executive branch agencies.

And as today’s bonus “One First” explains, #SCOTUS’s understandable reluctance to mess with it creates a pretty big hole in the “unitary executive” theory:

Bonus 125: The Federal Reserve and the Unitary Executive
The Supreme Court's apparent unwillingness to jeopardize the central bank's independence is entirely understandable (and good); it also undermines the persuasive force of the unitary executive theory.
