They said Philly was the only decent option, but there were issues with it too, beyond unplugged. Chicago suffers from expense but really, Indy is murdering us with the extra fees they force the hotels to charge.

The Gen Con owners don't want to move to Philly, for a few reasons, but one being it will hurt PAX Unplugged's attendance

I talked with one of the new owners about this and they've been courtesy by every city that can handle the scale and the best option east of Kansas is.. Philly. And they don't want to do that to Unplugged

This is such a good point and I don't think it'll ever change :( This is why I make sure to have a place in my booth I can hide. And I don't do meetings in a visible space because I've had attendees move literally half-walls or chairs to cut through to come say hi to me.

So like, yeah, CGE sucks now for doing this. It feels hurtful. And when there's a pile-on - it's easy to contribute. But there's a whole list of these publishers. Don't just rage where it feels convenient. Learn more about the people behind the games.

They're also blocking a lot of folks that point out issues or talk back. Lots of trans designers included
