I've been home sleeping for two days now and this is as far as we've gotten. But he's determined to get the microwave in tonight!

I rated 3 books as 5 stars in May and I forgot to share them. A Gentleman in Moscow was long but delightful and made me add to my read list. Recursion I read in a single day, I could not put it down. Cats Cradle was.. so surreally perfect in how well it's aged.

Played Floristry last night! Definitely good and interesting, and the required phone as bidding tool works great. Definitely recommend for a quick casual game, for stores and cafes. Designed by David Gordon and TAM.

When you start to use flashlights to "check for air gaps" in your competitive Nekojima game.

Was traveling for end of month so here's my StoryGraph for February. 15 books read, a few I didn't finish. I stop a book if I'm not feeling it's at least going to be a 3.5, but I had some road trips so I finished two I normally wouldn't. Favs were Two Twisted Crowns, Just Stab Me Now, and The Queue.

When you finally get your sample of a Gen Con release but you have to play it at a bar because you're on the road for two weeks.

What's GAMA expo like for you, T?

Well, from 8am-5pm I was walking around a 20x20 booth non-stop. Probably 7 miles is from that alone?

Then 7:30pm-10pm was tearing down that booth.

I'm really hoping I can distract him enough...

Look, it's a co-op game. I need some way to beat him.

Do you have two pets? K, they're driving your getaway car. Which one's steering and which is working the pedals?

I'll go first. I think Tilly is doing the pedals and Xena is steering because otherwise I would be too scared to get in the car.

Last night I posted an adorable series of photos of Tilly taking my place during a game. I did not share the photos of what happened after I tried to reclaim my seat and she jumped onto the table, wagging her tail.
February 15, 2025 at 9:12 PM
Well. When I returned to the game to take my place, she hoped up onto the table and wagged her tail. So. She won?

Also, I lied to you. We're playing the French version of Architects cause it's my personal copy I bought last year and it's the one that's already punched. The English version released this week at @hachettebgusa.bsky.social and I dun wanna punch and shuffle the tiles, haha 🙃

Happy Feb 14th! We're playing two-player games tonight~

Which would you start with?
February 15, 2025 at 4:06 AM
Got up to flip veggies in the oven during a game, but it's okay, Tilly tagged in. When they told us Border Collies were another level of smart, we did not fully appreciate that until now.

(Steve immediately took photos.)

It takes me an hour to read ~65 pages of fiction or ~17 pages of nonfiction. Granted all the nonfiction I read lately is management, leadership and business books, which make my brain run 50mph and my hands cramp from note taking, but still.

This month's nonfiction book is Work Clean by Dan Charnas

Our new Marketing Manager starts tomorrow, but I decided I would make one last bit of media before I hand the reigns over.
