Made it home from the concert unscathed, whew.
It was definitely super slick in some spots. Only one traction nanny light, but you can feel it slide a tad before that happens (4-5x), and that was with snow & ice tires. The back roads were mainly empty, so that was nice.
Mammoth put on a great show!

Warm band for the second band before Mammoth.

Our first real snow, I’d be stoked if I didn’t have to drive into Denver this afternoon. The first real snow is a giant accident creator. Bald tires, crap tires, people driving like the roads are dry, sigh.

Sure is pretty though :)

Seriously. I have no interest in what Trump is purported to feel about, well, anything. I care what he *does*, and secondarily what he said he would do, since the latter is only relevant in contrast or comparison with what he did. That way I know what to think about those things.
For my part, I would say that questioning the framing of some Times stories—for example, the highlighting of Trump’s putative emotions or the foregrounding of what he says (even when, as is often the case, what he says is false)—is not an indication that I want my “views validated.”

Plastic was invented about 150 years ago.
The shit is polluting every corner of the earth, and now our bodies.
Meanwhile, they can’t make Christmas light hangers that won’t break after a dozen uses.
WTAF??

Yeah, I need some food. It’s warming up in the microwave.

If this reality that we're experiencing were a film I would have turned it off a long time ago because the plot is ridiculous and frustrating,
and all of the main characters are disgusting and hateful.

Alas, the off switch for reality is more permanent than is fair.

I have no words that eloquently capture my complete and utter disdain for iTunes software.
I’ve always been quite happy with my iPhones, but that software is completely infuriating fucking garbage.

Thank you for reading my rant.

Jeff Besoz,

Disrespectfully, it's obvious that you foresee Trump's downfall, and thus WaPo is all of a sudden breaking damaging news about his fascist fuck SoD again, but we will never forget you kissing the ring and standing by smirking as Elon did 3 seig heils

I figured out why aliens never visit this planet. They watch The Black Friday videos on Youtube.

Zoog: "They're fighting over a primitive video screen after they shoved bread up a bird's bottom and baked it."
Brugol: "Yeah, we'll keep probing them until their society develops more."

Oh, I very much agree. That wink-and-a-nod style of writing has no place in serious journalism, especially not about events and people that pose an existential threat to the gov't. But it's what they claim is necessary to understand them.

@auberon.bsky.social saw these while out on my morning walk (no donuts, doh!) and thought of you for some reason. Hope you are feeling better today as the meds let go of ya!

A bit windy again today, but it’s almost 40 degrees, time to see if the donut shop is open???

Place your bets.

It’s hard to get motivated for a walk when it’s below freezing, cloudy and 30mph winds.

I like winter and all, but going from the 50s to the teens with windchill has been a tad drastic for my liking.

Maybe I’m just getting soft?

Couple of pics from yesterday’s hike. Elevation gain was 1,250, climb was around 1,500 with the dips and re-climbs. Almost made it to 7k altitude. Just under 4 miles. Heart got a workout. Ski season will be mainly 9-12k altitude 😬

About to play the EV fast charger game, what me luck. Got a few options, going for the cheaper one as our EV can’t take advantage of the high kWh ones anyway.

We are taking the long way to our kiddos for Thanksgiving. Normally we just go straight there and charge when we get there.

I do not recommend starting your Sunday with fraud alerts and getting to review your last 50 charges.
New CC coming. Sigh.

They were all PayPal related :/

Anyone ever seen beef jerky that requires refrigeration?

I noticed a while back that the Kirkland brand says to refrigerate after opening. I can’t say I ever have. I tend to consume it in fairly short order though.

I’ve always gotten it because it doesn’t require being kept cold :/
