So. There I was at my desk, practicing my doodle hearts, when John walked through my door. Only, back then, he was still just “the Sandman” to me. Sure, maybe once or twice I had tested out, “Ay-o! Sandy!” but (other than me) we don’t really do nicknames in the astral building. That doesn’t mean I was any less fond of him; I just called him by his title, as custom goes. I say “other than me” because I do name my cherubs. By the time I had more than three of them, “Hey you” just started to feel rude. But I digress.
