How the fuck are we moving backwards to an even more oppressive society again?
It's simple: care about others, don't hurt kids, don't burn books, stay out of other people's decisions, get vaccinated, be kind & help where you can.
Why is this so difficult?

Huh.
We spent a year investigating billionaires for @washingtonpost.com.

We found: the wealthiest 100 Americans gave $1.1 billion to influence the 2024 elections — 140x more than they did in 2000. And almost all of that giving boosted Republicans.

PSA: If you’re having people over for Thanksgiving CLEAN YOUR BATHROOMS. From top to bottom! Specifically clean under your toilet seats. I know for a fact some of y’all don’t be cleaning the bottom of your toilet seats the way you should and it’s nasty.

When #Crime101 comes out in 2026, by my count it will be the 7th time Mark Ruffalo will play a "fed up" law enforcement officer.
Don't get me wrong, I love Mark Ruffalo, I'm just curious what it is directors see that make them think, "That's a cop."?

For a movie called The Running Man it should probably have more of a pulse, right?

I was so excited to watch #TheRunningMan. Edgar Wright is definitely one of my favorite directors.
However, I just don't have much good to say about this movie. There are so few action set pieces for an action flick & you really felt the 2 hour & 13 minute runtime.
I am now sad.

Watched Nuremberg. Intense movie. Solid acting all around. Incredible performances from Crowe & Malik, & Leo Woodall is an actor to keep an eye on. The past that has unfortunately made itself relevant again in present day America. This movie invoked rage & uneasiness in me, as I believe it intended.

Saw an early screening of Eternity. Good acting, good look. I especially enjoyed the aesthetic, but IMO the worst movie premise ever. I kept thinking, "who is this for?" & hoping the writing would give me a twist that made it all worth it, but that never happened. Please avoid this movie.

Predator: Badlands was incredible. I am so here for what @dantrachtenberg.bsky.social is doing for this franchise. As an 80's baby growing up with this franchise, seeing it now blossom into a whole rich world & history is amazing. Go out & see it now if you haven't.

Day 41 of #TrumpsShutdown & workers are still furloughed, but Senate Democrats caved last night to allow Republicans to kill off the working poor by raising healthcare costs. Nearly a month & a half for absolutely nothing. America is being run by traitors & cowards.

How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.

It’s not that we didn’t want the shutdown to end, it’s the fact that millions of people suffered throughout this shutdown and it was for nothing. That’s the most upsetting part.

The Dems who are caving are doing so not because their base wants them to, not because the voters want them to, and not because SNAP recipients want them to. They are caving because their DONORS want them to. And that’s really all that ever matters to the establishment.

Do you have any idea how hard it is to effectively sell a lie about "affordability" to millions of Americans who are literally the ones paying these prices right now?

Baffling strategy even by Trump standards.
Trump: "The reason I don't want to talk about affordability is because everybody knows it's far less expensive under Trump than it was under Sleepy Joe Biden and the prices are way down."

Day 34 of being furloughed, & here's further poof that these idiots in the GOP are only doing this to hurt the working poor of this country, because they are costing the country extraordinary amounts of money with #TrumpsShutdown

The government shutdown won't be completely recouped—and it could cost the economy up to $14 billion, estimates say | Fortune
The report says lost goods and services from furloughed workers’ downtime won’t be regained once the government reopens.

Just to clarify, I'm a government contractor, not a government employee, so I won't get back pay once the shutdown is over, but look, the Tr^mp family is making money from the government during this time.
