WUTHERING HEIGHTS is the most recklessly horny and toxic thing I've ever seen. Also it looks great.

Saw GOOD LUCK, HAVE FUN, DON'T DIE over the weekend. Man, what a shame it took Gore Verbinski nearly a decade to make a new movie. This one absolutely rules.

It's wildly entertaining yet uncomfortable as commentary on modern times, particularly AI and smartphones, among other things. Great stuff.

Freelance rates are also abysmal and haven't changed much in 20+ years, which means they're even worse today. Not only are you not being paid enough, but you don't have the support of an organization behind you. In-depth reporting is much harder as a freelancer.
A lot of people cannot just start a paid newsletter or become freelancers to sustain their careers. The sports, metro, and international desks did work that requires *team* resources, like legal checks, documents, access to archives, and long-term beat experience.

I said this a while back and have been saying it for ages. I'm glad we have independent journalism, but everyone splintering off to start their own reader-funded newsletter is a recipe for disaster. There's a finite amount of money, and it won't help new talent.
i know that this is an unpopular take, but everyone starting their own newsletter as a revenue stream is not a sustainable model for writing and reporting or for people who love and want to pay for media.

Is a $7 million box office opening good for a documentary? Usually, yes. Very good. Is it good for a movie with a $75 million price tag Absolutely not.

As such, any rational assessment of MELANIA, from a dollars-and-cents POV, is that it flopped. Period.

5 Reasons Why Melania Flopped At The Box Office - SlashFilm
Amazon spent a lot of money on the critically-reviled documentary Melania, and it's not going to come anywhere near to covering its costs at the box office.

I've been using my sauna again after not being able to use it for like 7 months. It f*****g rocks.

Nothing relaxes me more. If you told me saunas cured cancer I might believe you. Just the absolute business. It's the little things, man.

SEND HELP is the ultimate January movie (complimentary). Sam Raimi’s still got it. Almost like M. Night Shyamalan was whispering in his ear just a bit. Never seen Rachel McAdams having more fun on screen. Good stuff.
