Running isn't a magic bullet. It clicked with me. Lift weights. Dance. Box. Play basketball. Whatever! Just find something you enjoy on some level and lean in.

First "light jog" (doctor's orders) since the surgery. 6 miles. Felt absolutely fantastic. Nice and cool out. Got to break out the long sleeve. Happy to be back at it.

PREDATOR: BADLANDS is maybe only my 4th favorite PREDATOR movie but it's also still really good. A testament to this franchise's increasingly fantastic batting average under Dan Trachtenberg.

My surgery went well! I no longer have a gaping hole in my ear and with any luck, in several weeks, will have a functional eardrum again.
After 5 months, dozens of doctors visits, tons of pain, medicine, missed work and thousands of dollars, I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.

My boy Mason joined me for an 8 (ish) mile run - in the fog no less! Beautiful weather. Nice to get one last long one in before I'm laid up for a while.

Got a surgery coming up Tuesday that will prevent me from working out for a couple of weeks so I'm gettin' while the gettin' is good. The boxing bag has been exactly what I've needed to compliment the running. Just such a great way to let out some aggression. Good s***.

I care because it directly impacts the kinds of movies that do and do not get made. It's the movie business, after all.
Great movies flop all the time but those fops directly impact what studios will make. Box office is A) extremely important and B) never a direct indicator of a movie's quality
