3D Printing, CNC, Electronics, Robotics ADHD hyperfixation. He/Him
Here I am now working for one of the largest 3D printing companies, designing and building stuff for 3D printing manufacturing.

It took a lot of failed attempts of learning how to program computers and graphic design to learn I like hands on fabrication more.

Used my PLC knowledge from that job as a machine technician to become and Automation Specialist. Realized programming is still not my passion and that I really enjoy cnc and metal fabrication and repairing machines. By this time I have been really involved in the 3D printing community

Worked IT helpdesk until I really wanted out after failed attempts. Talked myself into a web development job, failed to be a backend developer. Took a job at a local 3D printing company, learned to be a field service tech. Then became a CNC field technician, joined a manufacturing startup that fails

Fast forward to after high school, I had done Battlebots IQ. Lifelong combat robot friends. Did a graphic design college that turned out to be a diploma mill, decided to do a school for robotics, but couldn’t handle the computer science courses so dropped out.

I also did graphic design and html sites. I even taught a class in grade school because I told the teacher I knew more than her. I had a “graphic design business” and had a portfolio (probably not that good.

Robot Wars played on PBS and I was absolutely hooked. Then battlebots on comedy central. ZDTV/TechTV i watched way too much. I knew I had to do robotics but didn’t really know what field.

Spent way too much time on the dialup internet than school work. Playing with R/C cars, building model kits and Estes rockets, taking apart old electronics learning how they work.

I knew it would be cheap. They had pre-lit trees but I avoid those now because the lights usually stop working and it seems like a waste. Plus this will be easier to pack. I think they call that “minimalism”.

Doing well now compared to how I was the first 6 months this year. Many half finished projects I started and the like.

I’ll probably go with the AC Infinity fan, I just have to find a place for it. Even at my last place, I had it venting out the basement window, but the built in fan isn’t nearly enough.
