Just passed the AWS Security Specialty exam! It was my first cert in almost a decade. I don’t do AWS Cloud Security as part of my day to day, so I was blown away by just how expansive the product offerings in the space really are.

It feels like AWS Inspector and AWS Artifact should really switch names.

Trying out an eReader from Boox. I appreciate that it’s running Android, which allows me to run BookFusion, Kindle and Kobo all on the same device. At the same time, the actual reading experience is nowhere near as good as a Kindle or my Kobo Libra Color. Tradeoffs, tradeoffs everywhere.

I spent about a day writing some code to automatically sync tasks and Projects from Things into my LifeOS PPV system in Notion, inspired by @augustbradley.bsky.social - so far, so good. I want to use Things as my daily driver for tasks, but I want all my tasks to be in my PPV for alignment cycles

It boggles my mind just how bad a #kubernetes experience a new cluster on #EKS still is. No Metric Server, so no HPA out of the box. Nothing to clean up bad nodes. They’ve had so much time to catch up to #GKE or #AKS and it’s still the same terrible experience as when #aws launched it.
