Also of COURSE Nick Offerman needed to find some way to portray Chester Arthur in something. Look at these mutton chops. There was no other man alive who could do it quite so well.

If you're still subscribed to the Washington Post, my very simple question is: why?

I am not even saying it as some sort of gotcha; I am genuinely saying that it is time to to consider whatever benefits you get from it versus continuing to fund the newspaper that puts out stuff like this.

Reading some of my writing from when I was campaigning last year and damn I didn't hold back on this one Trump voter

You can read the full article from October of last year here; I think it's aged very well for the most part.

People who voted for Trump over Gaza realizing that the guy who has repeatedly used the word "Palestinian" as an insult did not have better policy on Gaza than Joe Biden or Kamala Harris

What is this poster? It looks like it's from 2003, as if some teenager made it for their MySpace when they thought, "wouldn't it be funny if there was a War of the Worlds movie starring Ice Cube?"

Like... where are the Martian invaders? You know, the whole thing that War of the Worlds is ABOUT???

Here's a statement from DHS itself, taking umbrage at NYC Comptroller Brad Lander's criticism of ICE (notably, Lander didn't actually call them secret police lol - telling on themselves!)

But it's a great ex of how sensitive the gov't is to this criticism. It's a hit dog hollering.

Union voters voted for Kamala Harris by 16 points, an improvement over Biden.

Trump won the popular vote by a little under 2 points. So if you shift the US ~18 points to the left to make it so she wins the popular vote by how much she won union members by, *this* is the map you get for Harris:

Thinking about how @lakshya.splitticket.org definitively proved that COVID cost the Republicans winnable races in 2022 owing to more Republicans dying from it in swing states

Here's Vernon County, 1 out of the ~20 counties in WI-03. Every time Donald Trump has been on the ballot - including when he lost the state in 2020 - he has made gains here. I can easily find many other examples from WI-03 of this, this is actually one of the less bad shifts for the Dems here.

Some have underestimated Tammy Baldwin as a politician but yeah beating a guy who once was by far and away the most popular politician in the state was indeed a flex. Pics related.

It's kinda fashionable these days to poopoo the effects of field organizing on electoral outcomes but till the day I die I'll insist this was the result of a frenzied effort to finally throw him out and elect someone who actually has a shred of decency in his body.
