It was my cat's birthday on the 13th! She turned 12 :). It will probably be her last birthday due to cancer, so she got fancy salmon and lots of churu treats.

One of my favorite things I see in the fanfiction world is when people take older books like The Great Gatsby and rewrite them to be the open way the authors wished to have, or were too scared to do.

I feel like a lot of "classic" books get pigeon-holed into the basic theme they have because of how schools teach them. I feel that the multiple layers of themes and meanings should be acknowledged more.

The company who built our apartments just straight didn't plug in the ethernet ports in the walls to the wired for most of our rooms lol. They also ran several coax wires to each room's box. Literally wtf is this building.

The Great Gatsby is a book I genuinely love. I know it's become the classic high school read type book but I feel like it deserves more casual love. The casual gayness of it, the close intimacy between Nick and Gatsby, the grief and the yearning between people. It's a book that makes me grieve. 💙📚

A genre of witch books that's always bothered me is the ones with massive lists of spells in them. A majority of the ones I've seen are 90% junk, filler, or use things that a majority of their audience doesn't have the resources, space, or money for. (1/2)
