Identity is NOT community. I've met acutely abusive queer people who go against everything the movement stands for, Pride stands for. Invalidating their identity means we're not secure enough in our politics to accept that people suck, irrespective of which genitalia they prefer/possess
I think that more ppl need to realize just because someone is queer doesn’t mean you’re going to always agree with them or that they’re a good person. that doesn’t mean they are faking being lgbt either. you can be the worst person on the planet and be queer at the same time. that’s the whole point
