Just in the interest of highlighting good moments in otherwise poorly regarded comics…let’s talk about She Lies With Angels

One thing that bugs me about comics discourse is how people will tear apart an entire story based on one thing that happens in it, especially if it takes a character they like in a bad direction. Like is Heroes in Crisis really the worst comic ever written or do you just hate what happened to Wally?

Whatever else you want to say about From the Ashes…Exceptional X-men is great. Kitty dealing with her ptsd from Fall of X and trying to help these three kids. All I want from my Superhero comics is that they actually be “about” something and not just the latest punchventures of X character.

I have finished Cobra Kai. I don’t think I’ve seen a more consistently great show in my entire lifetime. And it stuck the landing and ended beautifully.

I have been reading some of the more recent Supergirl comic runs, and I have observed that the best parts are when they let @jodyhouser.bsky.social co-write it or do a fill-in arc. What do we gotta do to get her a full run?

I’m really hoping we get omnibuses of all the recent Superman runs because this is the most I’ve loved Superman in ages. I want everything Jamal Campbell does in oversized format.

Today I finally got my copy of GI Joe Compendium One (mostly by Larry Hama and Herb Trimpe) I’ve never read this stuff but I am told it is one of the great comic runs of the 80s so I’m excited to dive in. #collectededitions #imagecomics
