Also I think the design on the right not only wanted to go for that classic Crash Bandicoot look but also wanted to make attributes that appeal to the Japanese audience. Which is why Crash 4: It’s About Time was the first Crash game to use the regular box art instead of using “Japanese Crash.”

Can’t forget about the man of a thousand voices himself, Mel Blanc.

Namely the Sega version was never released there because the Mega Drive, apparently, was not very successful in Japan. It wouldn’t be until Crash Bandicoot that a Western-developed game series had seen any significant success in the Japanese market.

It would be so awesome, it would be so cool! It would be the most incredible Bubsy Bobcat movie, the world has ever seen!

Many upcoming movies and tv shows at the time had to alter plot lines or scenes that could correlate to the real life events that happened on that day into something else. Such as this example from Lilo and Stitch.

Which references to the title for the Japanese version of the game, やまねこバブシーの大冒険 (Yamaneko Bubsy no Daiboken). 2/2

First you have Disney and Universal suing Midjourney for copyright infringement and now Warner Bros is also suing the company as well. This is literally that JoJo meme where Abbacchio’s gang beats up a random guy. But instead it’s Mickey, Woody Woodpecker, and Bugs Bunny beating the AI company up.

I found out that there was a Japanese version of the first Bubsy game called “やまねこバブジーの大冒険 (Mountain Cat Bubsy’s Great Adventure)” that was released only on the Super Famicom. The second and third games were never released in Japan and I think the other two rebooted games weren’t either. (1/2)

In short, the live action remake was in development hell for over 20 years and now they’ve finally given up on it. Fun Fact: When the remake was being developed, there were also plans of putting Akira in Space Jam 2, but that was also scrapped from the final film entirely.
