I think this shows a youngster from this year following its mother. There's certainly a size difference between them.

The rat on the far left and the one nearest the top of the screen only have one eye reflecting the infra-red of the camera. The one on the left is missing the glow in it's right eye and the other, when chased and reappearing, shows its left side and lack of eye glow to the camera.

For about ten minutes last night there were three badgers feeding together. Then two gradually wandered off, leaving one snuffling about on its own for another 20 minutes. Lovely peanuts!

Most of the time badgers and rats seem to ignore each other, but sometimes they get too close for comfort.

This is a behaviour I've seen sheep do - sit down to eat if there's enough in reach. Why stand if you don't have to!

I've now got a trail camera and it was out for the first time last night and captured some nice images.
There were individual badgers for some of the time and two together for a short while.
