I used to have one of my Lucifer Fanvids pinned to my account at the 'bad place'. Don't think bsky does 'pinning' so I thought I would just post one here. Edited by me April 2020 'How You Like Me Now?' music by The Heavies

'A Woman in a Red Dress Knitting.' (1936) Whilst at the Slade School, Jesse Dale Cast took Henry Tonks’s draughtsmanship to heart. His figures have an almost sculptural stillness about them, reminiscent of Dod Procter’s work from a decade earlier.

John Arnesby Brown's 'The Cross Roads,' (c1953) depicts a junction at Hadiscoe in Norfolk on the Reedham to Beccles road. St Mary's church, v with its distinctive Saxon round tower, sits on an area of higher ground and is a landmark for miles around.

The man, I do assure you, is not here;
For I myself at this time have employ’d him

There is a story that Alberto Morrocco's wife Vera, seen here at the breakfast table in the 1950s, was constantly searching for missing bowls, plates and jugs that had been commandeered for a still life, what her husband called a more important purpose than originally intended.

Torygraph full of shite yet again. I can tell you that the 70's was a pretty awful time. 'Most people' my arse.
Ah the 1970s.

Stagflation, three day weeks, collapsing infrastructure. Civil War in Northern Ireland. In yer face racism and bigotry everywhere. Bin strikes. Strikes in general. Blackouts. Industrial decline. Wage inequality. Dog crap everywhere. And households spent 25% of their income on food.

Kitchen resembles a turkish bath right now, with the 4hr+ steam session for Christmas puddings underway.

It's the last of the festive food to be prepared. I'm trying to get everything done early, so I can chill (relatively) in December. 🎄

Up to S5 ep 'The Body' on my BtVS rewatch.

Made the decision to skip because I really can't deal with it. Ground and heart breaking TV. I'm just not in the right place for it.

I think they should have done this day one of the new government.

He's about as untrustworthy as they come.
Robbie Gibb was appointed to the BBC Board by Boris Johnson, was an editorial advisor for GB News, and worked as Theresa May's Director of Comms.

He is not impartial or neutral. The government should remove him from the Board immediately to protect the BBC's independence.

'Logan's Rock, St Levan,' (c1916) perfectly demonstrates the height of Laura Knight’s development in Cornwall, this work is part of a series of paintings she composed between 1915 and 1919 all sharing an elevated viewpoint, dramatic diagonal composition and vibrant colour.

Everything on our news agenda is being driven by a corrupted disinformation machine, run by a billionaire who sponsors Tommy Robinson and who keeps trying to foment civil war in the UK.

And incredibly our MPs & news providers stay there.

THAT is the problem. Not some bad editing choice on the BBC.

As it's #caturday, thought I would post some art. This is Rio Rantipole, our first siamese cat. He was a gorgeous chocolate point, and very much a people cat. Fearless and friendly but known for stealing food from people's kitchens. Drawn from a very fuzzy film photo taken in 1991.

Touch and go for a moment there.

No candied peel found in 3 shops I tried today. This would derail the making of the christmas mincemeat.

Thankfully I found some in Aldi, there were only 3 tubs left on the shelf. Disaster averted. The mincer will spring into action tomorrow.

Another excellent 'debunking' by Emma.
It blows my mind that there are real people who see a post like this and actually believe the whole “Christmas is being cancelled by Muslims” BS 🙄

Let’s have a quick look at what’s happening to Sheffield so you can put your Express reading uncle’s mind at ease!😆

Claude Francis Barry’s paintings of WW1 are amongst the most accomplished of his works, with his images of searchlights across London being the most evocative - here (1918) he used small concentrated dots of colour to create an atmospheric haze of light.
